Another TPop (Thai Pop) song has hit me and yes, I am writing about it. I am always thankful to deungdutjai.com for being my companion in having TPop songs translated accurately into pasa ang krit. Feast on the song lyrics and video. Analysis below.

Musicality wise, it has a KPop rip-off-theme in terms of beat, choreography, styling of the artist and the packaging of the video but overall, it does not really sound to be a total rip-off (if you get what I mean). I actually believe that we all have this KPop fever rising in Asian countries and so in order to compete with them, the Koreans, Thais are going for it yet still leaves space for national identity. Please try to understand me even if I speak gibberish.

Another fascinating idea is that, basing on the translation above, the artist, เชอรีน, which is the sister of Nickhun of 2pm, is, in a way, stalking the guy she likes; doing things that would catch the guy’s attention and publicly confesses through action that she really is truly in love with him. The song is shallow in meaning but it surprises me that Thais are now open to songs like these (there are many songs with this theme and even more) which makes me say that we all can compete globally.
